Our writers draw on a range of sources including official brand press releases and lookbooks, runway show footage and official designer statements, interviews conducted directly with designers, stylists, and industry figures, established trade publications and fashion archives, and firsthand testing or wear of garments and accessories when reviewing products. When a claim about history, provenance, or technique cannot be verified through at least one credible source, it is either clearly framed as opinion or omitted from the piece.

Review process

Every article passes through at least one round of editorial review before publication, checking for factual accuracy, clarity, and adherence to our style guidelines. Pieces involving sizing claims, fabric care instructions, or historical attributions receive additional scrutiny, and editors may request revisions or supporting sources from writers before a story is approved to go live.

Corrections

When we identify a factual error after publication, whether through reader feedback, internal review, or updated information from a brand, we correct it as promptly as possible. Minor corrections, such as spelling or date fixes, are made without a formal notice, while substantive changes to facts or conclusions are noted with a visible correction line at the bottom of the article indicating what was changed and when.
